The Pro feral cat trap has a rear sliding door that is made from clear polycarbonate, this is designed to give the wary feral cats more confidence entering the trap as the rear of the cage appears to be open.
The cat trap is triggered by the cat standing on a treadle plate inside the trap that releases the door.
Once the trap is triggered the door is locked by a spring loaded locking bar.
When you remove the cat from the cage you can slide out the rear door making it easy to transfer the cat into a transfer cage or cat basket.

Sturdy and effective
The perspex door is a great idea easy to release the cats once they return from their little trip to the vets and seems to be less frighting to them than mesh. Trap action is smooth and effective plus the whole thing is lightweight enough to transport and stable enough to stay level when using the carrying handle, this is a key feature when lifting cat +trap as it avoids the risk of injury.

The second of these traps that I have bought for Trap/Neuter/Release. Well built, great quality, can be set to a very fine trigger (ideal if there are kittens to be caught for socialisation/rehoming and the two doors make transferring easy.

Hi, the trap arrived overnight, thank you, but I have only now unpacked it. I haven’t taken the seal from the door but have tried to remove the backing but it does not appear to be removable. I wanted a clear see-through door. The description said ‘a clear plastic sliding rear door to release the captured cat’. The picture of the trap also appears to show a clear transparent door. I bought this because I thought I was getting a transparent door, making the feral cats easier to catch. This does not seem to be a peel-off backing type – can the backing be removed?. Can you help in this? Thank you. Suzanne
Hi Suzanne
the protective film will peel off to reveal the clear polycarbonate.
best to start at one corner edge

Hi Trap man, success! Both sides peeled off. The trap is also light enough for me to manage. Thank you!
One last kitten to trap. I don’t want a second litter of feral kittens being produced this year. One year was enough! I am left with 2 female kittens who are relaxed with me because I feed them but I cannot touch them. The other feral kittens, with their mum, decided to leave after they came back from being neutered. The feral adult Tom was also neutered but has stayed around and is fed by a neighbour. I will then donate this trap to the local vet – the trap they lent me to trap all these feral cats was very heavy and has injured my already very bad back to become cripplingly bad.
Wish me luck next week when I will try to trap the remaining kitten.
My very best wishes, and thanks again for your advice about the peeling, Suzanne
