New rabbit show cages

Just sent some new rabbit show cages to the zinc platers, these rabbit pens have large hinged doors

Still got to cut and punch the galvanised divisions and they should be ready to go out next week

Just had a tiring two day visit to WIRE Dusseldorf looking for a new 3D CNC wire bending machine which there were a few. The 120.000+ EURO price tag was a large pill to swallow but we have now something to think about. Made a couple of new contacts from the few UK suppliers that were there. All in all a good show well worth visiting and our German hosts were friendly and hospitable the public transport, food and beer is good too!

Baiting a rat bait station

The blocks are manufactured by Lodi and are effective if administered as directed and using some skill & perseverance
1/ Stop feeding the sunflower hearts as the rats won’t eat the poison if they have easier access to other food.
2/ Place two blocks on the bait holder inside the bait box, squeeze two drops of sunflower oil on to each block.
3/ Place two sunflower hearts in the bait tray under the blocks.
4/ Position the bait station near to the rat activity, secure it by putting a brick on top
5/ Do not touch OR move the bait box once positioned
6/ Check if the poison is being taken after two days by using your camera on your mobile phone
7/ Once the bait is being taken replace as necessary until no more bait is touched

The bait, half cooked bacon or our dried meat bait

Our dried meat bait should be reconstituted by soaking overnight, this should be wire wrapped to the bait hook in a similar manor to gladiator sandals are fitted to your calf. this method prevents the rat chewing at the bait ….rather getting him to pull at the bait which in turn dislodges the setting bar from the loop, closing the door entrapping the rat in the cage
